Toshiba Sdhc Driver Windows 7 - dealer-game87’s blog

I haven t had any luck with what scans as a Ricoh unit in my A215. Toshiba has drivers for Vista that do not work with 7, MS provides a driver via update that shows in device manager as having installed correctly but which leaves the unit with little/no functionality, and I had no luck lokking through Ricoh s support pages.

The unit in Toshiba s literature is listed as:

5-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter

o Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Multi

Media Card, xD Picture Card shared slots

Any help would be greatly appreciated. To make matters worse, I m battling a DMI issue where some Toshiba software is not recognizing my A215 as a Toshiba product.

I installed windows 7 ultimate but dvd-ram can t write dvd.. princo and memorex It is given error that please insert blank media but in can be read

On vista it was write same dvds..

How i can solve that problem..

If you haven t already done so I recomend that you download the How To Manually Upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 - Satellite P500/505 PDF file from the Product Support Link at the top of your page enter your model info to get to your specific area. You should look that over to see some of the things it recommends for your system.

WIll you be going with the 64bit or 32bit install. You might have mentioned it before, but I can t remember at the moment.

You are lucky in that your model isn t one of the ones that requires a Bios Upgrade. That can be a hair raising as well as blood preasure raising experience to some people.

From what I understand about the process and please remember that I m still learning about it is that the program is supposed to uninstall any and all of the Toshiba Installed Drivers, Apps. and Utilities that doen t work under Windows 7 and replace them with the Windows 7 ones. On my L305-S5933 it download 12-15 files to update/replace and stored them in the ProgramData Toshiba ToshibaSevenComp folder, then removed about a dozen items I had to manually remove a couple of them before the update would continue. It then told me to turn off my internet connection and WiFi, then had me start the Windows 7 install disk I double clicked on the Setup.exe file on the data partion of my hard drive instead of using the DVD. After going through the install process and reestarting a few times a Shield Icon in the left hand side of the task bar started blinking to signify that I needed to resume TUA. It started installing the updates and files it had downloaded previously and stored. It restarted a couple of times during this process. Once it was finished I rebooted one more time for good measure then started checking things out. After I was sure that everything was working properly I ran WIndows Update.

All of that took about 3 hours to finish it had to download over 300 megs worth of files so how long will depend on your internet connection speed. I m now in the process of installing a printer.

I hope that gives you a better idea of what is going on.

Hi,

I just upgraded my a305 - s6864 to Windows 7.

I installed the tvap package from Toshiba support download page - the FN keys and the touch buttons play pause, stop etc. are working OK except for the mute button, it just not doing anything

How can I configure the button.

Has anyone else had serious delays receiving their upgrade. I ordered and uploaded my proof of purchase ad received confirmation that everything was received back in early October. My credit card was charged but my order never arrived. Since my tracking status never changes, I contacted support via email a few times only to receive a form letter in return saying basically that I ll receive it as soon as Windows 7 is released. I even received a your order has been cancelled email which Toshiba later said was a mistake and to expect my order shortly. Any advice on reaching helpful customer support. Regards, Jeremy.
